Tarot Card Structure & Meanings

As mentioned previously in a quick look at tarot, the tarot deck is made out of 78 cards split between the Major Arcana and the Minor Arcana

The Major Arcana has 22 cards while the Minor Arcana has 56 cards

For me, I like to use the pictures in the cards as a way to interpret what’s happening, using intuition

In particular, I am more intuitive with the Rider Waite tarot design

There are other designs but the Rider Waite is the basic design and also easy to understand

So why does this form of reading work?

I trust that your unconscious mind knows all the answers, while your conscious mind has the questions

And when you do a tarot spread, in a particular order, your unconscious mind was able to guide your shuffling of the cards to the right order in an attempt to answer your question

Hence, tarot can be seen as a way to communicate with your unconscious mind

Of course, you can do that with hypnosis too hahaha

But that’s another story (and website) altogether

Currently, I use an online card generator, and that might boggle your mind for a bit

What I believe is that the energies of your intention and question, can direct the online tarot cards in such a way that you still can get the answers to your questions

But, admittedly, some websites might be better than others

It could be the algorithm hahaha

Check out below if you are curious about the meanings of each card (although remember, this is based of the Rider Waite tarot design)

This card is the last card of the Major Arcana, known as The World
